As a result of the continued growth and strategic expansion at SinoStruct, an opportunity exists for a Project Accountant with steel/fabrication background to join our growing team in the Beijing office.
Key responsibilities include:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the position is responsible for coordinating cost engineering functions encompassing estimating, cost control, budget preparations, forecasting and cost reporting.
Key Result Area: Position Responsibilities
Safety, Health and Environment:Ensures compliance with company HSE policy, the execution of the Monadelphous HSE Plan within Project Services and the achievement of HSE targets.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS: Communicate with Supplier representatives to inform them of ongoing order change, cost and payment management requirements.
Accurately involved in business planning, tender estimating and cost control activities to maximise company efficiencies and growth.
PROJECT COST CONTROL：
Proactively involve in bidding procedure, understand project products and cost element from very beginning.
Working closely with Project Manager and Finance Manager to prepare project budget and cash flow forecast.
Manages and monitors all kinds of project cost against the project budget.
Develop and improve project cost pre-alarm system, advise any cost risk or saving opportunity to project manager and Finance Manager in advance, keep reducing project overspend risk and improving project cost efficiency.
Work closely with project manager and project engineer to identify any client variation compare with original contract, support managers to prepare variation claim and maintain client variation register.
Work closely with project manager and project engineer to identify any subcontractor variation, advise additional subcontractor cost risk as early as possible, help PM and PE to maintain subcontractor variation register.
Submits cost and trend analysis to the Project Manager and Finance Manager for any project change.
REPORTING/ data analysis：
Develop and implement an internal project reporting mechanism. Report should assist Project Managers to manage projects, inform Finance Manager of any issues, and dovetail with the Corporate reporting process.
Compile monthly budget report and cost forecast report.
Prepare monthly project cost analysis report and financial summary.
Prepare and maintain project supplier and client variation register.
Maintains a working file of expediting related documents and memoranda of conversations to record expediting activities. Maintains a system to initiate follow up actions at appropriate times.
contract and payment：
Completely and properly archive all client and subcontractor contract and pricing schedule.
Review all contract and make sure fully understand payment terms and relevant cost information.
Double check all invoice supplier provide, submit payment request according to company payment procedure.
Ensure the payment accuracy and timeliness.
Other works arranged by the company as the project required.
