Summary:

Responsibilities:
1)Responsible for the collection, understanding & coordination of commodity requirements of ABB China
2)Commodity market research & analysis
3)Cooperate and coordinate with Commodity team in order to define, agree on and implement adequate purchasing strategy Electrical Parts and Components to generate saving by securing required quality
4)Define concrete procurement targets and work out strategies to reach the targets
5)Source, evaluate and select local quality suppliers to ensure competitive advantage of ABB operation in China as well as oversea.
6)Lead & coordinate purchasing negotiations within the related Commodity Teams
7)Implement global contracts and leverage experience from past projects.
8)Manage expediting and inspection. Operational procurement procedure incl. order placement to ensure a smooth procurement operation
9)Troubleshooting and claim management with suppliers / internal customers
10)Controlling, monitoring, documentation and communication of procurement status, process and success

Qualification and experience:
1)Bachelor / Master- degree or above (Electrical engineering preferred)
2)Technical and/or commercial background preferred
3)4 - 5 years working experience in purchasing function in China, thereof
4)2 - 3 years experience in procurement function in multinational companies and experience in cooperation with engineering contractors preferred
5)Excellent knowledge of the Chinese supplier market for technical goods and services
6)Excellent negotiation skills and command of written and oral English
7)Project management experience preferred
