Senior Online Systems Administrator (UNIX)
Location Based: Shanghai

1。 Support and maintain the operation of various UNIX/Linux servers of the online services
1.1 Dealing with daily operations of online services, including but not limited to firewall, VPN, Email, DNS, Web and databases
1.2 Install, maintain and upgrade network hardware and software
1.3 Monitoring and troubleshooting of network, servers, services, and ensure the availability of these resources
1.4 Provide server system management functions, including system monitoring, analysis, auditing, and upgrades
1.5 Optimize performance of network and servers
1.6 Advanced troubleshooting of emergency situations on the network, must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as required
1.7 Maintain strong security which does not unduly impede computing activities. Implement and supervise host and network security policies and procedures
1.8 Maintain documentation regarding network configuration, operating and troubleshooting procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and software
1.9 Install, diagnose and troubleshoot LAN/WAN including switches, routers and etc.
1.10 Monitor communication systems and equipment, such as communication lines. Perform network usage control, monitor overall and individual data traffic, preparation of reports
1.11 Manage backup and restore
1.12 Manage data storage (SAN, NAS…)
2。 Manage projects
2.1 You must also be able to take unfinished projects and lead them to completion
2.2 Interact with other companies for external connections outside as well as other subsidiaries to ensure the proper functioning of the global network
2.3 Analyze customer’s network needs and evaluate vendor recommendations; provide comprehensive network design specifications for additions and upgrades to the existing infrastructure
2.4 Keep updated of the market for operating systems and other products used on the network

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 7 years in UNIX/Linux Systems Administration within a large organization. We are looking for an autonomous, responsible and dynamic person that wants to take part in an ambitious and passionate team. You must possess an excellent team spirit and you have excellent troubleshooting skills. You are devoted to offering an irreproachable service to the users.
1. Essential: Excellent knowledge of Linux. In-depth knowledge and experience in the design, implement and maintenance of Linux/UNIX-based network infrastructure
2. Essential: Excellent knowledge of Apache
3. Essential: Excellent knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
4. Essential: Excellent knowledge of Windows
5. Essential: Excellent knowledge of IIS
6. Asset: knowledge of Cisco IOS (switches and routers)
7. Asset: knowledge of VMWare

General Criteria:
1. 7 years of experience in network and systems administration in a 300+ users environment and 30+ servers
2. At least 3 years experience in Linux/Unix network administration. In-depth knowledge and experience in the design, implement and maintenance of Linux/UNIX-based network infrastructure, such as firewall, proxy, VPN and E-mail
3. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a computer-related field
4. Excellent English (CET-6 or above)
5. Certification MCSE Windows 2003
6. Must be a self-starter that requires only limited supervision/guidance
