Our Client:

Our client is a leading famous company specialized in Chemical Industry. It is a diversified manufacturer of a wide range of products in many markets and operated in over 70 countries with more than 20 Billion USD business worldwide.

Position Responsibilities:

l         Develop and execute buy strategies in China Raw Material Sourcing

l         Work closely with business and operations leaders, develop plans to support the business needs at the lowest total cost

l         Drive the use of Sourcing best practices, systems, and tools

l         This position is responsible for supplier development, contract negotiation, cost reduction, and spend analysis for assigned raw material commodities. This requires a good understanding of the commodities, the associated processes, supply chain, market dynamics, capability of the suppliers, the business drivers, as well as best sourcing practices

l         Consolidate similar buys and drive for leverage

l         Execute the strategy to manage price and supply risk in order to maximize competitive position and ensure security of supply

l         Use e-auction, Low Cost Country and Sole/Single Source commodity strategies

l         Manage the suppliers to meet Business and Operation requirements through metrics, and feedback systems; Resolve quality, service, supply and invoicing issues with the suppliers and assist in process improvement

l         Identify and lead supplier improvement programs

l         Work collaboratively with other sourcing colleagues to develop and share best practices and procurement process improvements

l         Negotiate, prepare and execute procurement agreements

Skill Requirements:

l         Proven leadership skills and strategic planning capability

l         Solid interpersonal/facilitation/influencing/and change management skills

l         Strong analytical and negotiation skills

l         Ability to work effectively in a cross functional and cross business environment

l         Experienced in structuring purchase arrangements, and handling difficult supplier relationship

l         Exhibits high business ethics and principle based behavior

l         Has solid computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

l         Is energetic, enthusiastic, positive can do attitude

l         Bachelor degree or above in Chemical Engineering or Material Science

l         3 Years of sourcing and/or manufacturing experience

l         Six Sigma training or Green Belt Certified
