Principle tasks, responsibilities and Key Performance Indicators;
 
·        Ensure timely, accurate and up-to-date intelligence on market
·        Independently produce at least once a year the following market analyses i.e. those of the following that are applicable to the Activity Line i.e. its market:
·        Key success factors
·        Key customer buying criteria per segment/sub segment
·        Market segmentation/sub-segmentation (the border where the responsibility of the Product Managers begins can be flexibly defined on a case-by-case basis)
·        Historic Market Data Analysis per Segment/Region/Etc.
·        Volumes
·        Market Shares
·        Market Price Analysis & Pricing Forecast
·        Market Price vs. Cost Comparison
·        CoE Analysis for:
·        Varying Fuel Prices
·        Varying Application Types
·        Fuel market dynamics analysis and fuels pricing forecast
·        Market trends analysis and anticipation including but not limited to the following:
·        Deregulation
·        Electricity prices
·        T&D
·        Industry concentration
·        Booms & busts
·        Customers
·        Etc.
·        Emissions regulations analysis, anticipation, impact, on us
·        CO2
·        NOx
·        Sox
·        Particulates
·        Mercury
·        Power Generation technology Overview & Trends anticipation
·        Market volume forecasts
·        Produce on special demand the following market analyses i.e. those of the following that are applicable to the Activity Line i.e. its market:
·        Specific country market analysis
·        Specific Activity Line / Product Country Strategies
·        Reports from industry conferences
·        Exchange rate movements & forecasts
·        Independently produce at least once a year the following market analyses across Activity Lines:
·        Competition amongst fuels & technologies
·        CoE (Cost of Electricity) amongst fuels & technologies
·        To undertake any other duty and responsibility as may be required by the Line Manager that falls in the broader scope of activities of the Department
·        To promote the interests and image of the company at all times
·        Behave according to ALSTOM Code of Ethics and Values
Need:
 
·        University level degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
·        MBA or equivalent (as a minimum some successfully passed undergraduate university level courses in business administration disciplines)
·        Technical experience in steam or gas turbines and/or power plants
OR
·        Experience in market analysis or sales
Mandatory
·        Good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Lotus Notes
