4G Simulation Environment Prime
Role Description:
Nortel Simulation team develops high quality, extensible, maintainable, upgradeable, and re-usable software (application, tools, scripts, documentation, & training material) for design team. The focus of the Simulation team is to serve Nortel 4G development.

And this is a senior role to lead and drive the 4G simulation environment activities such as set up.
Responsibilities:
The major responsibilities of this role would be

- Manage design version control mechanism
- Design/Manage software environment
- GUI interface
- Environment files
- Library of customized modules 
- Migration of existing modules to unified simulator
- Software documentation
- Code review/inspections
- Manage compute resources
- Enable automation process
Skill & experience required:
• Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Telecommunication or relevant majors
• Fluent spoken English and good writing skill, CET-6 is preferred
• Knowledge of wireless communication theory, signal processing, call processing, & mobility
• Experience in complex software feature development, software tool, as well as software project management
• Sound technical knowledge in software development. Experience in loadbuild, SW development environment set-up. Knowing clearcase for version control.
• Strong process focus
• Configuration management expertise
• Release & deployment experience (e.g. install shield, automatic updates)
• Preferred knowledge in physical, MAC and application level simulations with experience in simulation work breakdown and programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated and takes initiative
• Ability to make objective decisions
