Role Description: 
Nortel Networks provides exciting career opportunities in Wireless Networks. The WiMAX Systems Design group focus is on technical innovation and excellence in WiMAX products’ design. The group has responsibility for WiMAX system requirements, high level design, performance evaluation/ verification and system simulation.
Based in GDNT, our group works with other development, verification, advance technology, and field support groups at various Nortel sites around the world. The working mandate provides our engineers with the ability to influence product development from conception, through verification to field test and deployment.

This is a senior role to lead and drive such kind of high capable team.
Responsibilities: 
        The major responsibilities of this role would be
• People management & development: Recruiting, building, and managing the WiMAX system design team, and developing and implementing plans for the career / personal development of the team members
• Project management: Ensure the quality and on time delivery of the committed projects by participating in the project planning, resource management, progress tracking, and status reporting activities. Responsible for the overall quality of the products could meet the market requirement.
Skill & experience required: 
• 4+ years of experience in the telecommunication industry, with 1+ years in a technical lead/management role and people management role
• Fluent spoken English and good writing skill, CET-6 is preferred
• Experience in complex software feature development, software tool, as well as software project management
• Experience in wireless network simulation or link level simulation
• Strong process focus
• Demonstrated technical leadership & initiative is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
The following skills and experience would be an asset:
• Good knowledge of Matlab, OPNET
• WiMAX system and product analysis, system design
• Understanding of Nortel's products and development Process
• Proven ability to work effectively in a global environment across multiple time zones
Education:
•       Master or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering
