Position Summary:

GDNT is looking for experienced Managers to manage the System Engineering team working on Nortel GSM/UTMS MSCS and MG products

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have people, project and technical management responsibilities for the development and support of Nortel products. Some of the responsibilities include:

• Lead a SE team
• Working closely with Nortel Product Managers, System Architect, PV and VO to define, simulate and verify the CPRO (capacity/performance/reliability/overload) in a product development cycle.
• Provide supports to help customer network achieve the committed CPRO.
• Cooperate with the GU SE team in US
• Project management of assigned activities including status monitoring and reporting, task assignment, risk management, issue resolution and budget adherence.
• Leadership and management of teams of up to 15 technical staff including hiring, performance management, career development and coaching.
• Provide technical leadership through participation in project and technical reviews and provide technical input and guidance to employees.
• Ensuring high quality delivery in adherence to industry standard quality systems (ISO, TL9000, CMMI)

Qualifications / Experience Required:

o        Bachelors/Undergraduate degree or above in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics / Electrical Engineering or related majors.

o        5 years of experience working in telecommunications or related industries.

o        2 years experience leading/managing technical organizations involved in the system level development or engineering

o        Strong written and oral communications in English and Mandarin.

o        Proven ability to work effectively in a global environment across multiple time zones.

o        Exposure to  Wireline, GSM, CDMA,  WiMax  or other Telephony technologies

o        Strong learning and analytical skills
