Job Title:
Technical Support Engineer
Report to:
Technical Manager (based in HK)
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Support tests of newly developed products and systems for company internal purposes. Support will be carried out in live traffic management environments such as tunnel management systems, highway traffic data collection systems etc.
 
• Write technical reports (in English) under supervision of Technical Manager in Hong Kong to be distributed to development teams in US and Canada.
 
• Take responsibility for technical support on a project-by-project basis (as agreed with Technical Manager in Hong Kong) both on site and via e-mail and telephone to Asian customers outside of China.
 
• Participate in and contribute to regular technical meetings with Hong Kong management as well as via telephone conference with US and Canada technical teams.
 
Requirements:
 
1. At least a Bachelor Degree (B.Sc, or BEng) in Electrical or Electronic engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Automation Engineering.
 
2. Aged 30 or above.
 
3. All least 5 years experience in the engineering field with technical support experience
 
4. Experience in leading a small team of technical staff (technicians and support engineers etc)
 
5. Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin
 
6. Excellent customer service, communications/presentation and interpersonal skills.
 
7. Willing to travel extensively within China and abroad for customer meetings, technical support, training etc.
 


Good-to-have:

 
1. Traffic engineering experience.
 
2. Familiar with video processing technology, radar technology.
 
3. System communication and networking knowledge
