Job Descriptions

This is a hands-on architect position. The candidate is expected to have solid technical knowledge in the areas of computer science and practical experience in problem solving. It is expected that the candidate to understand technical product requirements in the area of mobile server and clients runtime environments, middleware, and hand-held devices. The candidate needs to be able to derive testing methodology, create test tools, and test specifications to safeguard the product based on product functional requirements and specifications.

Responsibility

- Designs, implements, documents and maintains complex test systems, subsystems and application programming interfaces.
- Identifies and advocates for new, enhanced or replacement processes to achieve objectives.
- Works on complex issues requiring specialized expertise, creativity, initiative and sound business and technical judgment
- Develops the theoretical framework for a product component.
- Serves as the technical lead for complex projects.
- Communicates information directly and clearly. Checks for clarity and understanding during a conversation using active feedback, reflection, and other communication techniques. Capable of teaching others in both formal and informal situations.
- Influences the use of automated complex, testing techniques.
- Influences change in areas outside direct scope of projects being worked on.
- Applies sound technical, projects and past experience in estimating task size and duration.
- Highlights risks early. Incorporates risk elimination early into work plans.

Qualification

- BS/MS in computer science or related disciplines, and minimum 10 years' software development/testing experience;
- Exposure to J2EE technologies and application servers are required, including JSP 1.2, Enterprise Java Beans 2.0, Java Servlet 2.3, Java Naming and Directory Interface, JavaMail, Java Transaction Service and Java Transaction API and Java Database Connectivity 2.0. Other exposure includes applications based on CORBA, XML, HTML, DHTML, and ActiveX clients, PowerBuilder, COM, C and C++.
- Hands-on experience in QA using Windows and/or UNIX machines, and exposure to databases, SilkTest, and other QA tools are required.
- Must be able to communicate in English fluently, both written and spoken.
- Must have good interpersonal skills.
- Familiar with .net technology
