The following entails a summary of the responsibilities of the Director of Business Analysis, who will report to CFO,
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility and objective of the Director of Business Analysis, is to:
- Accountable for develop, analysis, evaluate and monitor strategies and plans designated to achieve the business objectives of eLong;
- Assist CFO to ensure the full visibility of financial performance; therefore, this position must have a high level of capability to integrate and understand information and present in simple & effective way. This person has to work on outcome and set goals to achieve the result;
- Active and vital member of eLong, understanding the company objectives, while ensuring proper business objectives are met.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Management Activities:
- Ensure all business plans and goals are aligned to eLong objective. Provide financial and modeling support in feasibility studies, investment analysis and other financial analysis needed for eLong profitable growth;
- Perform economic and commercial analyses required to assess and support field and project development opportunities, including associated risks, upsides and sensitivities;
- Establish and maintain appropriate economic and commercial models for individual field and project development opportunities and portfolios of such opportunities;
- Active gathering and evaluation of economic and commercial data to facilitate business development;
- Maintain and improve work processes for early phase field and project evaluations;
- Assist the Management in accomplishing company goals through the provision of timely analysis and quality business advice;
- Interact proactively with colleagues from other functions for formulation of business plans;
- Foster understanding of financial statistics among non-finance managers;
- Assist the Management in the identification of productivity initiatives and business plan development;
- Provide financial support to the sales and marketing team, with focus on gross margin improvement and sales growth above competition.
- Provide financial support to the supply team, to ensure full capture of commission opportunity, product mix, and the supply quality and demand forecast accuracy.
- Provide senior the business performance dashboard for accurate and quick decision making, and performance benchmarking

- Develop staff through empowerment and performance partnership;

- Work in harmony with colleagues from other department;
- Maintain an energetic & enthusiastic team.
- Ability to lead and build a finance organization, and to foster a financial result capability for the benefit of the employees, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
