Position Descriptions
Manage and facilitate the translation phase of localization projects involving German/French/Spanish. Provide direction, expertise, and hands-on help to relevant teams responsible for certifying the level of quality.
Job Responsibilities
1.Discuss the translation schedule and the make-up of the project team with project manager, the language department manager and/or the resource allocator;
2. Perform language evaluation of the project, noting such points as adequacy of the style guide and glossary, linguistic and technical difficulty, style of language and file formats.
3.Read and study client's instructions and lockit and prepare project-specific translation guidelines, and maintain and communicate the guidelines in the course of the project;
4.Read, track and summarize client review feedback and update the guidelines and glossaries accordingly;
5.Maintain project glossary and communicate updated glossary to the project team;
6.Monitor the quality of the project and perform linguistic Quality Assurance process, inform and work with the QA manager on any quality problems;
7.Collect and answer language-specific queries from translators;
8.Provide training to new translators in processes and applications; Organize and provide language training to the translation team at the beginning of and during production;
9.Monitor the progress of translation to make sure that it meets the schedule;
10.Communicate constantly with external resources as well as client reviewers, if necessary on any language-related issues;
11.Work with department manager to obtain necessary resources for project.
12.Provide linguistic support for engineering, DTP, testing projects involving French/German/Spanish.
Qualifications
1.Excellent French/German/Spanish language skills (written and verbal), preferably French/German/Spanish majors with BA degree or above;
2.High level of proficiency in English;
3.2-5 years of experience as a translator or writer; 4.Ability to work independently as well as work cooperatively with other internal resources;
5.Extra carefulness and patience;
6.Self-starter & quick learner;
7.Localization experience is advantageous. 联系方式：
