Job title: Regional (Asia) Manager of Environmental, Health and Safety
Job location: Beijing，Shanghai，Shenzhen
JOB SUMMARYS
Responsible to work with regional LT Manufacturing sites to plan, direct, and implement the company’s EH&S programs and initiatives. Adopts and supports the philosophy that all accidents can be prevented. Focuses on employee health and continuously improving the work environment and will aide in conducting and auditing manufacturing site operations in the region of responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies and anticipates safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions; rendering opinions on new and existing equipment and procedures; investigating violations; recommending preventative programs.
Guides and promotes safe work performance by developing safety systems, policies, and procedures; developing safety campaigns, communications, and recognitions; training and/or arranging training for managers and employees.
Complies with all local safety regulations by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; interpreting standards; enforcing adherence to regulations; directing local site management on needed actions.
Enforces safety policies by conducting inspections and assessments, formal EH&S audits, compiling and reporting EH&S statistics, identifying trends, counseling managers and employees.
Promotes a safe environment by coordinating and cooperating with regulatory agencies and safety groups.
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results and initiatives.
Assists local site management in maintaining a qualified safety staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains safety staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Actively supports corporate EH&S goals and initiatives and links directly to local site EH&S objectives, goals and targets.
Adheres to quality and safety systems through maintenance of quality and safety standards and certifications.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as required.
Provides timely feedback on any issues or findings to the global Director of EH&S
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 5 years active experience working with and implementing Environmental Health and Safety systems
Experience Coaching and planning with work teams
Presentation Skills
Training and people skills
English communication skills both oral and written
Strong chemical background with manufacturing experience
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
B.A./B.S
5-7 years of related EH&S experience
Ability to travel 25-35% of time
