This position seeks a candidate for the software engineering group who can design and support customer embedded system software, including hardware interface control, internal storage, host communications, and RF communications.
Ideally, the candidate would have expert level software development capability to work across multiple embedded platforms and software languages.
The candidate needs to be able to work independently and to communicate complex technical concepts to customers, engineers, and non-technical personnel.  Excellent technical and communication skills are both a must for this position.

 

 

Minimum Set of Requirements:
• BSEE/MSEE or Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded software development is required
• Design software for embedded platforms in C or C++ under open and closed systems architectures
• A sound understanding of software quality and testing principles and practices
• Ability to develop or modify device drivers under open operating systems
• Simple hardware analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Be able to work well in a team environment
• Strong English language communication skills Desired:
• Familiarity with bar code Scanner and related market
• Working knowledge of USB, keyboard, Bluetooth communications
• Experience in MS Windows driver development is a definite plus
• Working knowledge of Visual C++ and Visual Studio .NET
