Description

Resolves manufacturing technical issues at assigned suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of the production hardware from suppliers.

Business Support

· Liaison between suppliers, procurement, management, and engineering
· Provides manufacturing expertise to suppliers, project and commodity managers
· Review and ensure integrity of sub tier supplier’s process to feed the supplier
· Support transition of hardware from one supplier to another
· Assist suppliers in continuous improvement of their manufacturing operations
· Facilitate and overcome barriers with on site presence to accelerate supplier production schedule

Technical Support

· Evaluate the capacity and capability of the suppliers for assigned components
· Recommend sources of manufacture of hardware from supply base to commodity manager
· Review the manufacturing operations of the supplier with a view to lean it for cost and cycle time reduction
· Work with suppliers, on site, to troubleshootand overcome manufacturing process problems
· Define repair/re-work routings to recover discrepant hardware
· Work with QA to ensure that suppliers processes will result in acceptable quality hardware
· Follow up with suppliers on the agreed corrective actions
· Identify required productivity design changes (for cost, quality, yield) and negotiate with engineering for its implementation (through CR/DRN’s or re-designs )
· Identify any required changes in manufacturing processes at suppliers to expedite hardware for production
· Support production start-up of transitions
· Interpret and clarify the design definition for suppliers (drawing views, datums, dimensions/tolerances and specs)
· Create and facilitate in-house routings for spot operations to assist suppliers in meeting assembly build schedule
· Evaluates alternative methods of manufacture (i.e. hogouts etc.) and negotiates with engineering for implementation through blue print change

Qualifications

Skills and Attributes Required:
· Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or manufacture engineering
· A good Engineer, good understanding about Machining process such as drilling, milling, turning grinding, etc
· 8-10 years knowledge, skill, and experience in factory environment with manufacturing processes in aerospace or automotive or equipment manufacturing industry
· Could read and understand blue prints very well and interpret the drawings and specifications
· Really understand how to manufacture the parts according to drawings/prints
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple diverse projects
· Excellent communication skills in Chinese and English
· Ability to deal tactfully with internal customers, management, and suppliers
· Strong team building and project execution skills
· Six Sigma Skills / problem solving and corrective action implementation
· Understand aero manufacture quality system
· Influencing skills and ability to work across functional boundaries
· Teaming, forming, participating, and leading skills
· Able to travel

Location: Xi'an
Candidates with less work experience will be considered as Manufacture Engineer.
