JOB TITLE: ROTATING ENGINEER
REPORTS TO:MECHANICAL MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Execute work in accordance with he applicable Project Procedures and Standards.
2.Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department and to develop the detailed schedule for Instrument Engineering and/or Design activities if necessary.
3.Prepare material requisitions for the defined mechanical equipment. Issue material requisitions for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions.
4.Review Vendors' quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor.
5.Hold Vendor co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings to establish full understanding of scope of supply.
6.Cary out the following functions relative to Vendor documentation as:
-Review document requirements and issue dates for major equipment with Vendors at the pre-order meeting.
-Distribute Supplier documentation to the various Engineering and Drawing Office Groups and co-ordinate their comments. Prepare consolidated comments and return these to the Supplier.
7.Correspond with the Vendor on technical matters and ensure that action is taken where necessary. Review relevant project design work and in particular:
-Engineering Flow Diagrams with reference to assigned equipment
-Piping Layouts and Model with reference to assigned equipment.
8.Advise the Principle Mechanical Engineer of:
-Any major slippages and their causes and proposed corrective action.
-All policy matters, major technical problems and unresolved differences with other Groups.
9.Participate in the HAZOP of Flow Diagrams as necessary.

Requirement

- Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering
- 3-5 years design experience in petrochemical /chemical/pharmaceutical or related industry
- Familiar with rotating equipment as pump, centrifuge and etc.
- Familiar with both international and national codes & standards
- Be able to make material requisition
- Experience in static equipment is preferred                                                 - For Senior Position, 10 years experience is must
