Job Responsibilities:

1. Write technical product specifications to meet the marketing requirements drafted by Product Management.
2. Prepare electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical concepts and supervise & review detailed design for products together with company’s strategic partners.
3. Work closely with manufacturing engineering resources during product design phase to ensure products are low cost and simple to test & calibrate.
4. Adhere to company procedures and guidelines for product development and prepare relevant design documentation to enable other engineer’s to easily understand design rationale and implementation for audit purposes and for project hand over where necessary.
5. Be the Project Leader – Technical for selected projects and thus prepare project plans and manage resources (time and capital) to meet those plans during the product design and development phase of a project and its hand over to manufacturing.
6. Maintain up to date knowledge of appropriate safety & technical standards and norms (IEC, UL etc.) which are relevant.
7. Maintain up to date knowledge of latest IC’s, software packages, development productivity tools, EMC theory to be able to design for optimal cost, longevity, quality and performance.
8. Provide technical support for assigned products after they have been released to the market.
9. Takes up tasks and assignment as and when assigned by the Head of Product Development.

Job Requirements:
1.Degree/Higher Diploma in electronic or computer engineering
2.Above 5 years in senior design engineer capacity plus 3 years’ project management
3.Design knowledge in controls, appliance, home networking and consumer products
4.Extensive experience with MCU, signal conditioning and PCB layout
5.Good understanding of the constraints and interface requirements of various EMI/EMC, user MMI, mechanical and plastic designs, and the integration of these toward to overall project requirements
6.Familiar with international approbation requirement like CE, UL, CCC & C-Tick
7.Good interpersonal, communication and project management skills
8.Strong PC skills in MS Office and MS Project
9.Proficiency in English and Mandarin
