职位描述/要求：
A. Role Summary (职位概述)   
 
Take full ownership for all issue related to engineering areas of the responsible category products;
Ownership & leader of Category Product Testing team to qualifying the product from the beginning of product commercialization process before release for mass production, that also include continue optimizing the product functionally during the product lifecycle; Be responsible for test time reduction and test program maintenance & optimization; And key responsibilities list as below;
- Category Testing Team Management & Development;
- Product Development Engineering Support;
- Engineering Sample Evaluation Management;
- Product Safety Review Management. (Coordination with Supplier);
- Project management & others.

B. Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) 主要工作职责
% of Time
1)
Team Management & Development
􀁺 Category testing team leader, managing the overall daily work of team & team development;
􀁺 Work on responsibility of setup matrix to make sure all Product Testing Engineer’s conduct task has an scorecard to measure the performance;
􀁺 Continue improve category testing team quality & productivity;
 
2)
Product Development Engineering Support
􀁺 Build partnership with Category Souring lead & team members to ensure successful souring activity;
􀁺 Coordinate with souring team & US counterpart to review & interpreting the customer expectations and supplier quotations into a viable product design specification; For example, Initiate communications & finalization related to Technical/Engineering documents with Asia Sourcing Manger, US or other Sourcing hub counterpart, Supplier and other team members;
􀁺 Own & coordinate with US team counterpart to develop & maintain the product specification;
􀁺 During each product’s lifecycle for any issue related to unsatisfactory user experience, Category Testing Specialist was the leader & has the obligation of initial the evaluation of root caused along with all the key stakeholders such as Asia Quality team, manufacture, US or other Sourcing hub counterpart. And drive the issue to resolution at the effective manner;

Engineering Sample Evaluation Management
􀁺 Collaborate with US or other Sourcing hub counterpart to analyze product requirement, to
create & maintain testing case, testing plan & product evaluation platform configuration;
􀁺 Follow each Product Testing Plan to conduct or assign Product Testing Engineering conduct evaluation (subjective & objective) to evaluate & validate proper performance of new
products;
􀁺 Review evaluation result, ensure the detected out issues summarize & documentation well organized with clear description, ensure well communicate & understand by souring team,
US or other souring hub counterpart, suppliers or other team members.
􀁺 Lead Product Testing Engineer works closely with supplier hardware & software development engineers to develop and drive action plan led to productivity and quality improvements;
􀁺 Self travel/Arrange Product Testing Engineer travel to various manufacture production sites to have on-site engineering evaluation test if needed, to drive testing done so as to speed
up whole Engineering Sample Evaluation project;
􀁺 With support the Quality team and other team members to be responsible for the productivity of supplier’s solution and their implementation;
􀁺 Work with US counterpart or other team members to maintenance, update & drive testing project; And initiate communicate with line manger for any update schedule;
􀁺 Support line manger in developing and providing solutions, review existing testing program and integrate Sourcing strategies and process to increase efficiency;
 
4)
Product Safety Review
Important Notice:
*Suppliers are own the ultimate responsibility for all product safety issues, this part of job
description here are mainly focus on how Best Buy Engineering team members COORDINATE
with suppliers to reduce & prevent safety issues.
􀁺 Own to develop & maintain product safety review check list for variant of products according to the requirement of relevant product safety standard;
􀁺 Own and assign Product Testing Engineer to collaborate with suppliers or 3rd party Lab to conduct safety review while new product design and engineer sample evaluation phase;
􀁺 Own and assign Product Testing Engineer to collaborate with suppliers to collect all the safety review & analyze, such as schematics & construction, and other testing data to review;
􀁺 Own and assign product Engineer to coordinate with supplier to close the finding issues.
 
5)
Project Management & Others
􀁺 Defining a project strategy, identifying the responsibility/target of supplier and relevant test project team members; Ensure all works is development and configured in accordance with established procedure and standards;
􀁺 Project execution, including planning, resource, scheduling, coordination, implementation, integration & development;
􀁺 Drive the test project and related parties to ensure project completions and approval per schedule and per commitment.
􀁺 Support line manager to implement and execute the test groups, projects and related assignments as requested;
􀁺 Conduct other special projects tasks as directed by line manager;
􀁺 Assist line manager in responding to queries on issues, as required;
􀁺 Initiate communicating to update all the stakeholders in an efficiency manner without leaving out any details that could result confusion. That includes updating & follow up with line manager of the progress during the evaluation process until the project complete or issue is closed;
􀁺 Ensure execution of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP);
􀁺 Maintain vendor scorecard that measure supplier performance for enhance the Sourcing business fast growth.
