Major duty and Responsibilities:

-Apply standard and concept special tooling designs to address specific customer needs including selection and proper application of limited vendor supplied product.
-Develop and support cost estimators with detailed descriptions or concept drawings required to establish accurate price levels.
-Develop quote data and documents to assist Field Sales in the presentation and justification of small to mid-cap tooling solutions.
-Establish design parameters and provide technical support to Product Design Engineering and Manufacturing.
-Utilize project management skills and PC bases application tools and software to monitor project workflow and adherence to quoted deliveries.
-Develop and maintain quote/project/order tracking metrics via Project Tracking Database.
-Generate assembly and installation instructions to support in-house and vendor manufacturing, including customer application and proper utilization of special product.
-Provide field installation and troubleshooting assistance when required.
-Conduct engineering design reviews with representatives from Product Engineering, Concept Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Service.

Requirements/Skills:

-B.S.M.E. and a minimum of 3 years experience in special tooling and manufacturing applications in the metalworking industry
-A minimum of 3 years experience in the position of Design Engineer (Associate)
-Coordinates the efforts of more than (1) Engineer/Estimator/Designer on several projects simultaneously without having direct supervisory responsibility requiring strong communication/people skills and project management experience.
-Proficient use of engineering and office automation applications including SAP and Unigraphics.
-English is must, Japanese and/or Korean welcome.
