LexisNexis Asia Pacific EPD provides the local business units within the region with coordinated and centralised approach to electronic product and systems development and maintenance.
 
LexisNexis is widely recognised as a technology leader in legal publishing.  We have advanced editorial systems, major Internet sites and a significant CD publishing list.  The Electronic Product Development team’s function is to develop and support these systems.
 
The regional Electronic Product Development teams consist of approximately 50 professional systems development staff across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, with 15 staff based in Asia.  The EPD developer works between the internal development team members, data analyst and the product manager, on existing and new systems.  He/she assists in the maintenance of existing systems and involvement in the development of new systems. 

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

·         Performing software development activities includes coding, testing, debugging, infrastructure setup and documentation etc.

·         Assist the System Architect to develop, maintain and test China Online.

·         Assist data analyst to test and execute operational data conversion; and help data analyst with some basic data analysis activities, such as sample data gathering, put data into excel sheet and any activity for preparing mapping specs.

·         Content conversion script testing and maintenance.

·         Technical escalation point of customer issues.

 

Knowledge:
  • Must have excellent knowledge in PHP, experience on smarty is preferable
  • Good knowledge in MYSQL
  • Good knowledge in JavaScript, experience on jQuery is preferable
  • Good knowledge in HTML / CSS
  • Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Good understanding of performance and scalability issues of Web Applications
  • Experience on version control system, such as CVS, SVN, or VSS
  • Experience on Regular expression and XML parsing are preferable

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related subject

Experience:
