Major Responsibilities

 - Based in Shanghai and reports directly to Corning Life Science Sales Manager in China

 - Process and develop clear communication channels between Corning and customers to Identify and deliver solution to resolve issues. Provide in-depth technical support for Corning Life Science technology products

 - Provide field application support for Cell Culture & Bioprocess customers in China. Work with customers and sales team to optimize solution to customer.

 - Conduct customers seminars/training/presentations and perform product demonstrations

 - Provide field application support for a label-free detection platform, Epic® System

 - Work with customers to explain existing assay protocols and capture new assay protocols

 - Provide an interface between customers and Corning’s internal EPIC application support

Required Skills and Education

 - Master degree of Life Sciences with 3-5 years of relevant work experience, a PhD. degree will be preferred

 - Extensive understanding and experience with key High Throughput Screening (HTS) target biochemistry and assays - Kinase, GPCR, protein-protein, other receptors

 - Equipment and assay support into the Lead ID, Target ID/Validation, Lead Validation/Optimization processes of the drug discovery process

 - Extensive (HTS) biochemical and cell-based assay experience, hands-on assay experience required

 - Have experience of working in Chinese Academic/ Institution, with knowledge of MNC Pharma and CROs in China. Familiar with type of work and research

 - Willing to travel large geographic range to coverage diverse customer base. Willing and able to publish technical papers, application notes, posters, other marketing support

 - Familiar with MNC operation in China. Could telephone coordination with US and European Application Support Centers.

 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access
