Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare project design basis and scopes including technology selection, flow sheets (PFD and P&ID), mass and energy balances, equipment dimension design, equipment specification and layouts.
- Provide necessary input to prepare cost estimates and project schedules in support of project planning. Cost estimates and project schedules should be analyzed for accuracy, and completeness.
- Execute design-engineering phase of projects, including process design calculations, equipment and material choice and detailed design of equipment with drawings for procurement, technical clarification with other disciplines internal of the project team like as piping, E&I. Procurement, as well as external contractors.
- Communicate with construction and site personnel to ensure that plant is constructed per design. Provide guidance and technical support to resolve construction problems.
- Provide technical support during start-up phase to ensure product quality and capacity requirements are met.
- Direct the close out of project, which includes punch list and acceptance, drawing revision to as-built status, capitalization, cost and project reconciliation, project audit and document microfilming.
Requirements:
- B.S. or above, major in chemical machinery or chemical engineering, ideally in combination of both
- Minimum 5 years experiences in chemical design institute, engineering company, chemical machinery manufacturing
- Familiar with chemical equipment design codes and regulations
- Familiar with the principles and procedures of process engineering project
- Skillful with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Smart Sketch or Microstation
- Effective communication skill in English is a must. Knowledge of German would be beneficial.
