REPORTS TO (Job Title Only) Development Manager
LOCATION Beijing

KEY OBJECTIVE
(Outline key/overall objectives of the role)

As a member of the Embedded Technology team at the Oracle China Development Center in Beijing, your primary responsibility is to port Oracle Database Lite product to vaious mobile and embedded devices (e.g. cell phones, vending machines, in-vehicle systems, etc). You'll also maintain the product by providing bug fixes, and enhancment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
(Outline specific tasks/responsibilities of the role)

Core Engineering Team
· Port Oracle Database Lite to various mobile/embedded devices
· Maintain and support Oracle Database Lite ports created
· Collaborate with Oracle Database Lite base development team on integration testing and relase of new ports
· Collaborate with device vendors

Solution Architecture Team
· Enhancement and technical product readiness (documentation, usability, tools, etc)
· Solution design, development and support
· Participate in technical presales activities and collaborate with strategic customers and partners

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING
(Indicate the essential experience, qualifications and attributes required to perform this position effectively)

Required Skills
· Mininum 2 years of C/C++ Programming experience
· Strong understanding of embedded OS internals, e.g memory management, I/O, scheduler
· Quick learner, ability to rapidly learn and program in new architecture
· Good spoken and written communicate in English

Desired Skills
· Oracle Database Lite, Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database
· Java programming experience
· Shell/scripting language programming
· Experience with Embedded OS such as Symbian, xWorks, QNX, T-Engine, TRON, Embedded Linux
· Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environment

Experience Requirement
· 3+ years of software development experience with 2+ years in C/C++
· Independent working capability in a team
· Undergraduates will not be considered for these openings
