REQUIREMENTS
Brief Description:
Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software areas to ensure software quality by exposing defects, identifying regressions, and verifying resolutions. Requires strong interpersonal and technical skills to work effectively and efficiently with development staff and fellow testers in order to resolve software defects. Must maintain a dynamic environment consisting of test programs, drivers, procedures, systems, and documentation on all Oracle software releases to be tested.
Detailed Description:
The job position reports directly to the Development Manager.
The Technical Specialist is assigned multiple primary duties:
- Leads the technical logistics behind installation, configuration, testing, defect tracking and reporting of all assigned projects.
- Logs and tracks product defects as they are encountered.
- Product integration work (with other Oracle products or third-party vendors)
- Accountable for project status, to be regularly reported to the Director or VP.
- RAC High Availability White Box Testing
- Deterministic testing with detailed steps. End to end, including hardware failures.
- Performance limits.
- RAC ASM with RAC HA White Box Testing.
- Deterministic, replayable workloads and driver.
- Multiple Hardware configurations.
Professional Background:
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4 years tenure in the enterprise software industry, as a member of Customer Support, Technical Consulting, Product Development or QA/Testing teams.
Technical Background:
The Technical Specialist must have experience with the following:
· 2 years installing, configuring and/or testing Oracle 10g RAC and Oracle Clusterware. · Practical knowledge of shell scripting, perl and C/C++. · Highly experienced in the usage, scripting, and structure of Linux and Windows Operating Systems. · Experience designing and executing destructive or performance tests. · Knowledge of storage arrays including SAN, and NAS networks is desirable.

Additioanl Comments:
