The Small and Medium Business Global Business Unit (SMB GBU) is responsible for Oracle's global go-to-market strategy for applications. The Partner Demo Services Team supports the global applications reseller community with pre-sales demo set-up and delivery within the SMB GBU.
Brief Posting Description:
The charter of this team is to provide over the web apps demo & support to the global SMB apps partner/reseller community. The core services provided by the team will include:
q RFI/RFP support:
q Custom demo set up and account strategy
q Live over the web demos for customers
q Identify & train partners
Detailed description of responsibilities:
ü Preparing RFP & RFI responses.
ü Set up & assist with customer presentations and sales support. Working with partners to execute business development opportunities that will result in substantial market perception and/or revenue for Oracle.
ü Leads a specialized area that may have diverse functional elements.
ü Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management.
ü Working closely with Partner Presales in virtual teams throughout the sales cycle to ensure product selection
ü Creating and delivering customer demonstrations that articulate Oracle’s value to the customer over the web
ü Identify training needs. Promote and develop partner demo competencies in sales, presales and product demonstrations for Oracle eBusiness Suite, JDE EnterpriseOne, and SEBL On-Demand—supporting partner sales teams as required
ü Building and maintaining effective relationships with Field Presales throughout a sales cycle
ü Work with the sales teams to understand & execute strategic business development plans in partnering strategy, channel development and field level integration.
ü Strong communication skills.
ü Keeping a strategic overview of Oracle’s applications understanding the key strengths and competitive differentiators
ü Actively developing product expertise – attending adequate product trainings, reading relevant collateral, analyst reports, white papers, competitive, document, etc.
ü Understanding and using Oracle’s sales methodologies and tools
ü Working with virtual teams across EMEA, US and APAC
Candidiate Profile:

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2/3 years in client facing roles ideally in roles which include accountability for quality of software service delivery
Educated to degree level or equivalent RFI = Request for information. This is requested by the partner/customer whenever they want some product information or information about a business solution provided to the customer. This could also be whenever the customer is in still some doubt. RFP = Request for proposal. This is requested by the customer whenever they are exploring a IT product. This will have a list of business requirements which the business consultants have to reply. The business consultant in his reply will have to say how the requirement will be satisfied by the Oracle module. The business consultant should posses good business process knowledge & Oracle modules to reply.
