Position Description

• Responsible for the automation of both client and server functional test scripts for the Teradata Relationship Manager application. Significant hands-on experience in Java development and J2EE architecture, as well as, writing JUnit (or equivalent) tests. Experience in working with various functional testing tools such as WinRunner, QuickTest Pro, E-Test or equivalent for UI (browser) based testing, and Lisa, Jtest, HTTPUnit or equivalent for server based testing.
• Expected to exercise great technical initiative, be highly focused towards meeting the needs of other automation developers, and to work closely with other members of the test team located locally and off-shore.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies and demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly - Ability to work well in a team environment
• Critical thinker with proven technical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience Requirements

Basic:

• 5+ years hands-on experience in automating the testing of software applications in the last 10 years.
  
• 4+ years of experience programming in Java/J2EE in the last 8 years.

Preferred:

• Bachelors degree in a math or science
  
• 5+ years of hands-on experience using commercial test tools (Empirix, Mercury, Rational, Compuware, Segue, or equivalent)
  
• 1+ years of experience in CRM
  
• 1+ years of experience with HTML, JSP, Junit, J2EE, Struts, SQL
  
• 1+ years of experience with Load and Performance Test
  
• 1+ years of experience with testing 3-tier J2EE applications
  
• 1+ years of experience in the following programming languages: VisualBasic, VBA, C/C++, .NET
  
• 1+ years of experience in Teradata RDBMS
