Job Descriptions:

- Develop a firm understanding of Electrical’s current and future manufacturing strategy for East Asia
- Identify opportunities to source locally, considering the products’ technical requirements, supplier development requirements and expected benefits
- Work with Electrical’s commodity managers to determine the appropriate balance of globally and regionally sourced products
- Achieve LCC sourcing goals with Award and Production PVO for Electrical East Asia team.
- Achieve the cost reduction by cost analysis and negotiation through Asia sourcing projects.
- Develop and manage a qualified supplier base in East Asia
- Design and maintain the optimized supply chain from suppliers’ manufacturing process to the door of internal customers
- Monitor deployment of Corporate Sourcing Strategy in Asia supplier base and share feedback for improvement.
- Develop and monitor the East Asia Electrical supplier development team.

Essential functions:
A Develop Electrical’s East Asia sourcing plan, identifying which commodities to source locally and appropriate timing with staffing requirements.
B Provide overall supervision for Electrical's LCC sourcing projects in East Asia
C Identify the qualified suppliers in East Asia for Electrical Group and in Korea for FP, EE and Truck Groups.
D Negotiate with potential suppliers to make cost reduction.
E Develop and implement systematic process to stabilize the supply chain
F Ensure continuous improvement activity of Asian suppliers
G Ensure EPI (early purchasing involvement) and ESI (early suppler involvement) in product design and subsequent specification development through sourcing projects.
H Review Electrical Group’s Asian organizational capability
I Determine future staffing needs and manage the local recruiting efforts
J Work with other Asian sourcing professionals to improve and standardize processes (ex: quotation responses)
K Schedule periodic management reviews at key Asian suppliers
L Act as regional escalation point for disputes (must be significant, not day to day issues)
