Audits and Investigations

            - Conduct investigations appropriate to specific instances of loss, damage, or injury to UPS property, equipment or our customer's merchandise

            - Investigate suspected instances of employee theft, pilferage, or fraud in order to determine the facts

            - In matters involving employee dishonesty, develop and document evidence sufficient to support a discharge, labor panel, arbitrator, regulatory agency or civil court

            - To initiate and conduct special investigations as requested by the District Manager

            - Advise the District Manager concerning all matters of employee dishonesty

            - Develop and maintain in all operating areas sources of confidential source information, both internal and external to our operations, capable of furnishing timely, accurate information

            - Ensure the physical security of UPS buildings, vehicles, equipment, employees, cash and records during operating and non-operating hours

Development of Security Awareness

            - Present Security and claims related general information topics in pre-work communication meetings

            - Participate in Staff, Division, Department Meetings, and Claim Recovery Committees as well as appropriate center meetings

            -  Present Security and claims related material in District training programs and seminars

Development of Professional Relationships

            - Establish and maintain contact with all levels of law enforcement within the District

            - Maintain membership and active participation in appropriate professional and security organizations

            - Cooperate with law enforcement, government agencies, professional or business groups in matters in which UPS has an interest
