Red Hat's Engineering Unit is responsible for development and maintenance of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Platform and other open source technology solutions.

The Internationalization team at Red Hat is looking for engineers who has the strong technical skills to develop and maintain applications used in the internationalization and localization of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Responsibilities include design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming

applications. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Strong Java i18n experience, strong programming experience in C/C++ environment
• Strong knowledge in Linux/UNIX operating system, strong knowledge in Software Internalization (il8n)
• Proficient in a variety of scripting languages, including python, shell and perl preferred
• Extensive experience in the packaging and delivery of software for one or more flavours of Linux/UNIX
• Experience in developing Linux Desktop applications
• Experience in developing applications for GTK/GNOME and QT/KDE
• Understanding of and experience in object-oriented design and coding
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English
