A world leading software firm is seeking PDM/PLM Process Consultant
Key Responsibilities
This role focuses on solving the customer business problem rather than coding and/or installing a technical solution. Establishes connections between business priorities and technical solutions.
Identifies & analyses relevant data for task at hand
o Can analyze complex data sets (“As-Is”) and synthesizes high impact recommendations for the client (“To-Be”)
Communicates easily at both Management and engineering experts level
o Can establish frameworks for discussion easily (“problem solver”vs. “expert” mindsets)
o Can facilitate a discussion with diverse constituents (can achieve consensus and resolve conflicting views, has presence – commands credibility)
Knowledge in project management methodology (Lean, 6 Sigma …)
Pre-implementation of organizational transformation projects focused on software &/or services driven opportunities
o Support the BDMs identification of business development opportunities
Implementation Process Consulting stream in a team driven project (RVP model)
o Work closely with Delivery Services around focused offerings e.g. Modular Product Architecture, Change & configuration management, New product introduction, Collaboration with suppliers
o Work closely with the Project Manager on tracking progress of deliverables and measuring results.
Key Requirements
Graduate degree in management or engineering
Previous experience as a consultant and/or practitioner in product development
Engineering background or demonstrated aptitude for working within technology-centric development organizations in discrete manufacturing (ideally Departmental experience of the following: systems engineer, mechanical engineer, manufacturing engineer, quality engineering Role Definition)
Solid knowledge of PDM and PLM implementation
