Job Description

· Provide in-depth database consultation, including but not limited to capacity planning, performance, backup & recovery and security

·   Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products and provide a strategic database direction for the organization

· Participate in data modeling

· Participate in application design

· Install, configure, administer and upgrade Oracle server software and related products

Trouble shoot database crashes, failures and other unexpected behavior

· Good spoken and written English
· Proven experience on complex and critical application consultation and/or support
· Ability to establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
· Good trouble shooting skills
· A good knowledge of Oracle data integrity, resources management, performance tuning
· Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle
A good understanding of the underlying operating system
