REPORT TO: Human Resources Director
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Human Resources generalist position which acts as in assistant manager role. Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of human resources policies, programs and procedures within their regional / business unit scope. Responsibilities may be in a variety of personnel areas and is responsible for the coordination of these matters: compensation, personnel management, employee development plans and general personnel communication. May be responsible for certain projects outside the business segment and/or coordinate certain tasks on segment / geomarket level. Ability to act independently is a key element of this position.
FUNCTIONS:
· Responsible for compensation for area of responsibility & administers compensation programs (merit, incentive program, job bonus, etc.)
· Advise and assist local managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs
· Ensure compliance with legislation (e.g. severance, termination, etc.)
· Coordinates the non-ES staffing as needed
· In conjunction with the director, responsible for the implementation and management of SLB policies and procedures related to Human Resources management in the base(s)
· In conjunction with the director, supports managing the performance and potential of the personnel through performance appraisal, career planning, succession planning, COR, identification of high value employees, GFE controls and recognition of performance through rewards
· Responsible for internal communication to improve awareness and motivation of employees
o Organize and conduct employee information meetings on employment policy, benefits and compensation
o Answers generalist-related personnel queries and re-directs as appropriate
· Maintain and facilitate relationships with appropriate external bodies such as local government authorities and personnel related agencies (CIIC, FESCO, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
· MS degree in Human Resource or related field
· + 2-5 years experience in a Human Resources generalist role (preferred, not required)
· English fluency (both written & oral)
· Internationally mobile (for potential future assignments)
· Previous experience living abroad (either working or studying) (preferred, not required)
· Strong sense of responsibility, customer services, attention to details, process oriented
· Proactive, self-motivated, open-minded, willing to take initiative to drive for continuous improvement
