Job Summary:
The Senior Systems Administrator will help maintain and evolve 24x7x365 service network, delivering live television, premium and primetime programming, video-on-demand, satellite and digital music services from the top broadcast and cable television networks and major music labels to millions of users worldwide. We are looking for an individual that understands the importance of 100% uptime, and has the experience, skills, and attitude that will help us achieve this.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration
- Ability to identify and correct system performance bottlenecks
- Ability to identify and correct network-related problems
- Ability to read and write scripts in shell or Perl
- Ability to read and construct basic SQL queries
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English
Optional skills:
- Basic knowledge of Cisco IOS / Catalyst OS
- Experience with Apache / Tomcat
- Basic knowledge of NetScreen firewalls
- Understanding of SAN technologies
- Basic Windows 2000/2003 administrations skills
