Senior Electrical Engineer Embedded System

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform circuit design for embedded systems. Circuit designs include digital, analog, and microprocessor electronics. Mentor to less experienced engineering staff.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Report to: - American Sales Director

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the following technical tasks:

1. Embedded controller design

2. Analog circuit design

3. Digital circuit design

4. Parts research/selection

5. Research component procurement and component EOL

6. Design to applicable standards

7. Design verification

8. Design prototype fabrication

9. Design issue resolution

10. Support documentation ECOs, BOM, and AVLs

This person must also possess the following personal attributes:

3. Can mentor and develop less experienced engineering staff

4. Possesses solid problem solving and analytical skills

5. Possesses solid communication skills

6. Possesses solid organizational skills

7. Willingness to work above and below skill level

REQUIREMENT

1. Proficiency with schematic capture tools

2. Knowledge of the PCB layout tool process

3. Familiar with hardware packaging in rugged environments

4. Expertise in digital design

5. Expertise in embedded microprocessor / controller design

6. Experience with PLDs and FPGAs.

7. Experience with rapid prototyping of circuit designs

8. Experience with AutoCAD

9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

10. At least 7 years of circuit design experience

11. A Bachelors’ degree in EE
