The candidate will be responsible for the implementing OAM&P (Operation Administration Maintenance & Provisioning) functions for a next generation optical transmission product. This position requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Primary Responsibilities
· Design and Development of Shelf Management Software.

· Work closely with System Engineering team to understand and implement system requirements based on the specifications

Skills
· Strong C++ experience

· Strong experience in software development with real-time kernels like pSOS/VxWorks/OSE

· Strong experience in troubleshooting software defects on real-time embedded systems using embedded debuggers

· Experience in implementing TL1 or CORBA or SNMP based software interfaces for Configuration Management

· Experience in implementing embedded database interfaces

· Knowledge of standards like GR-253, GR-1093 and ITU G.709

· Familiarity with State Management, Alarm management and Performance monitoring on SONET/DWDM systems

· Team player, a positive attitude and a willingness to succeed

· Proactive and self-motivated

Education
BS or MS in EE/CS or equivalent experience
