ORGANIZATION CONTEXT
China is the second largest automotive lubes market in the world. It is forecast to have a progressive grow both in volume and in value for our planning horizon, driven by demand for new cars and a rapidly growing economy.
China Automotive lubricants provide passenger car, commercial vehicle and motorcycle lubricants via an extensive distributor network covering over 170 major cities with brands of BP and Castrol. Castrol Brand has established global strategy partnership with Ford (PAG), VW Group, BMW and the business are also carried forward in China via our B2B team. We have around 280 staffs.
China Automotive lubricants have a significant growth agenda in 2008. In next 5 years, it plan to quadruple RCOP and double the gross margin.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- To support the sales force of a distributor by managing accounts, opening new accounts and maximizing the consumer volume of the designated area.
- Achievement of the budgeted volume by maximizing sales through existing customers of distributors and acquisition of new accounts for CVO & PCO.
- Support the assigned distributor(s) in terms of managing sales team(s) and the collection of outstanding amongst customers. ( communicating terms, territory, price structure, promotions, etc. )
- Train the distributors sales force in field visit routines, promotions and collection of outstandings, justification of Castrol price structure.
- Keep a close relationship with all customers, provide excellent service and recommend ways to secure longer term sales of Castrol products and develop the customers’ business.
- Gather relevant market intelligence and identify new business opportunities.
- Report regularly the day to day matters, follow the instructions regarding the reporting system/sales management system and keep record of customer’s data. (customer profiles, field visit record, weekly sales updates must be accurate, prompt and punctual)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Educated at university level minimum
- 2-3 years direct sales to retail outlets
- Negotiation, influencing skills
- Self motivated, independent
