ORGANIZATION CONTEXT

China Automotive lubricants provide passenger car, commercial vehicle and motorcycle lubricants via an extensive distributor network covering over 170 major cities with brands of BP and Castrol. Castrol Brand has established global strategy partnership with Ford(PAG), VW Group, BMW and the business are also carried forward in China via our key account team.

A joint venture company was formed by Castrol and the Dong Feng Group in Wuhan to supply lubricants and related services to the growing Chinese lubricants market in 2005.

As one of the four Focus Units in the Lubricants SPU, and the only one in the AsPac Lubricants OU, China Automotive lubricants have a significant growth agenda. The sales volume in China has grown to about 100 million litres with a Sales and Marketing Organization close to 200 people.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

· Provide efficient pre and after sales technical service support and advise to all customers, mainly in the Automotive side, both internal and external.
· Attend to customer's queries/problems promptly, trouble shoot and solve problems experienced by the customers, referring the more complex issues to the manager.
· Develop training material and presentation for sales team as well as conduct and/or assist in seminars and training for key customers.
· Keep abreast with the latest technical developments so as to be able to competently provide sound technical support.
· Handle oil monitoring services, administering laboratory reports and advising customers promptly.
· Assist sales team in key account development and direct manage top priority HD customer in region
· To achieve the sales volume and targets through the retention of existing business and new business development. This would entail strong account management for both direct customers as well as distributors;
· Be proficient in addressing customers' problems for efficient and effective problem handling;
· Be sensitive to the market environment for timely reports on the competitive activities;
· Be proactive in monitoring the payments of the customers so as to mitigate company's credit exposure.

CORE COMPETENCIES& SKILLS REQUIRED

· Bachelor degree or above in Chemical or Mechanical engineering
· At least 4 year relevant working experience in technical environment, sales and marketing
· Good knowledge of lubrication theory and techniques
· Strong interpersonal skills & selling skill
· Good communication and analytical skills
· Able to communicate in English & Mandarin
· Able to operate the computer software systems
