Challange:
The Process Optimization Engineer is responsible for providing process engineering expertise and support and for performing process design and process simulation to achieve orderly and efficient plant operations. The POE is accountable for long-term enhancement of plant efficiency and capabilities


-Effective use of process engineering tools such as HTRI programs and process simulation software to optimize plant operation
-Develop, design and implement improved process control strategies and process optimization programs
-Perform process design and material balance for plant modification projects
-Investigate complex plant problems and develop/propose procedures and process modifications to address/solve such problems
-Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and problems
-Provide process engineering consultation and support to peer engineers to improve plant operating results
-Evaluate the economics of projects.
-Knowledge of basic economic principles.

Requirement
-A minimum of four years College Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
-General understanding and a broad knowledge of plant operations and plant process engineering requirements
-Ability to understand the elements that drive plant profitability
-Knowledge of biological processes as they relate to plant wastewater treatment system
-A good team worker with the ability and willingness to work closely with others
-Willingness to teach and share information with others
-Ability to handle, plan and prioritize high load of work
-Ability to look ahead and plan on long-term needs
-Open mindedness and the ability to listen and accept new ideas and approaches
-Ability and willingness to follow through on projects initiated by others
