Responsibilities:
- To achieve the allocated 3-1 Plan sales targets in each territory for the products at in-market levels through Hospitals’ dispensaries and specialist departments to the patients and to control expenditures within budgeted or agreed forecast levels for the local sales team in each territory.
- To monitor and control & implementation a detail disease insurance and product reimbursement and formulary listing plan in terms of the corporation strategy that maximises sales of the Sales Team’s products and to take remedial action as required.
- To monitor, control and improve systems and processes that enable sales-force performance to be assessed on both a quantitative and qualitative basis (calls, coverage, sales, meetings, customer contacts and medical information provision quality performance ratings etc) and to benchmark these on a quarterly basis against other Sales Teams within GSK.
- To work closely with SPEs to ensure marketing strategy for individual products is linked closely to sales force activities.
- To develop the competency of personnel within the Sales Team through guidance, coaching and the implementation of appropriate training programs, and to assist RSMs to produce on an annual basis a single detailed development and succession plan for the staff in the Sales Team.
- To assist RSMs to implement and continuously improve territory management and activity planning systems within the Sales Team.
- To assist RSMs to recruit and retain talent people to support sustainable development of business in each region.
- To maximize relationships with customers and distributors (jointly with Customer Services function) in order to maximize sales of the Team’s products.
- To ensure that all activities undertaken by the Sales Team staff fully comply with the Company’s policies, the laws and regulations of the Peoples Republic of China and all the relevant Codes of Conduct.
- To assist and support the Customer Services team in identifying, recommending and, where approved, managing the appointment of new Accredited Suppliers/wholesalers or the termination of existing ones from the GSK Rx list.
- Comply with GSK Global Quality Policy (GQP) and Global Quality Guideline (GQG).
- Accomplish any other tasks assigned by the superior.
