• The purpose of this role is to analyze, design, develop and deploy window-based and web-enabled sales, marketing, finance, accounting and customer service applications for GSK China/Hong Kong pharmaceutical, health care/consumer, vaccines, OTC, GMS business units.
• Provide daily application support services existing business applications.
• Provide analysis, design, development, evaluation, deployment services for new business application systems
• Create user requirement or system specifications as needed.
• Perform data management and system maintenance duties as necessary
• Ensure newly developed systems are compliance to GSK architectural standards or recommendations
• Provide expertise in certain technology areas such as Java, Oracle/SQL programming, VBA etc.
• Perform technical expertise for adoption of new solutions or technologies.
• Ensure relevant validations are performed based on compliance requirements.
• Perform project management duties as necessary.
• Act as technical or team leader as necessary.
• Provide training to end users as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned and requested.

Qualifications & requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years IT experience in a professional environment, such as software vender's R&D function, consulting firms, or multinational company's sizable internal IT function.
• Data warehouse architecture design and development experience is preferred.
• Lotus Notes development certifications are preferred
• Bachelor degree or above in computer science or other relevant engineering fields.
• Business knowledgeable in pharmaceutical and health care/consumer industry preferred.
• Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in Web Browser based deployment environment Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in Oracle and SQL script language
• Good understanding of enterprise operation process, particularly in the area of Sales, Marketing, Accounting and Finance functions.
• ERP background is preferred.
• Good interpersonal and team working skills; Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese.
• Familiar with business terminologies and process descriptions; Capable of translating user requirements into technical and system specifications.
