Job Description:

Emerson Network Power is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer to work in its Advanced Power Electronics Technology Centre (APET). The position offers the candidate the opportunity to interact with the very best International research institutions both in China and overseas and work on the most advanced power electronics technologies in ENPC.

The position(s) requires a solid background of research and practical design in the area of power electronics. As well as a Masters or PhD degree it is expected that the engineer would have 1-3 years design experience in at least one of the following areas: DC to DC converters, digital control system design, motor inverters, UPS, rectifiers or other applications areas involving the application of power electronics concepts. A good grounding in the theory and design of magnetic components would be highly regarded.

The position will report directly to a section leader in APET. The candidate must be a self starter, prepared to keep an open mind and have an interest in exploring new ideas and technologies.

Requirements:

1.Degree in electrical/electronics engineering;

2.Masters degree or higher in area of power electronics;

3.Strong written and oral English;

4.At least 1-3 years experience in the design of power electronics circuits;

5.Strong record of analytical skills applied to the analysis of circuits. This could include familiarity with the use of various circuit simulation programs;

6.Must have good Excel and PowerPoint and presentation skills;

7.Willingness to interact with global design and research groups;

8.A strong team player, willing to share and discuss ideas.
