POSITION PROFILETitle: Sales Account Manager (automotive)
Division: Sales and Marketing
Reports To: Country Sales Manager, China
Objective:
Primarily this person will be responsible for developing customer relationships with selected OEM customers in China. Specifically the buyers and engineers. This will involve weekly sales calls to OEM customers. They will need to prepare and deliver technical presentations to purchasing and engineering audiences. This person will be responsible for preparing quotations in cooperation with Business Units Engineering and Commercial group under the direction of Director, Sales and Marketing for China. They will need to interface with the Product Engineering, Development Engineering, Purchacing, Quality, Operations, and Sales organizations. They will also need to coordinate supplier activities on specific quotes.
Must be a team player accountable for specific deliverables to China Operations. Must have the ability to present themselves to the customer as a credible player, and instill confidence in company’s ability to deliver these systems.

Principal Accountabilities:
· Establish customer contact points with Engineering and Purchasing at existing and potnetial OEM customers in China.
· Deliver quotes and assist the pricing and commercial contract negotiations.
· Deliver technical presentations to support sales growth goal.
· Manage customer interface for programs in China.
· Analysis business potentials, update target program list and report customer activities on monthly basis.
· Sales forecast for customers in China.
· Assist Finance department with customer accounts receivables as necessary.
· Enhance customer satisfaction, maintain good relationship with relavent OEM customers in China.

Currently we receive our quote requests from customers as part of an almost automated process. We need to convince customers that we are worthy of getting a quote, and provide a level of confidence to them and our own business groups that we are worthy of receiving the business. This person must be able to convince a diverse audience that we can deliver this product.

This person needs to be able to see the benefits of doing things differently and be able to sell that vision to the customer.
Experience/Education/Profile:
· Mature and experienced sales (engineering background is preferred).
· Experience in the Automotive Industry (minimum 5 years)
· Ability to interface with the customer in a Sales / Engineer role.
· Good market knowledge, including solid customer contacts.
· Good business background and sensitivity.
· Knowledge of finance and cost accounting.
· Project management capabilities.
· Willing to travel.
· English language skills.
