Windows Live China (WLC) is building a world-class engineering team in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. We are a global extension and an integral part of Windows Live with the full responsibility and ownership for building Windows Live products and services. 

The Shanghai Windows Live Platform Group is responsible for delivering a world-wide payment foundation, and Service Signup and Account Management experience platform. This platform is in the front and center of all Microsoft services (such as Windows Live, Xbox Live, Office Live, CRM, etc…).  We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Design Engineer Lead.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, Train, mentor, and grow a young, highly energetic, and passionate group of SDE
• Help to define/refine the development process, and be a champion of the quality of service
• Help with system design and architecture
• Work in a feature team environment to lead the design, implementation, testing, and stabilization of key platform features
• Drive and lead the design and code review process
• Participate and contribute to Global Engineering Excellence practices and initiatives.
• Work and communicate effectively with our global development partners
• Be creative, innovative and always look for improvements

Qualifications:

• Extensive core tech hands-on software industry experience (3+ years in a leadership role) with a proven track record of shipping high quality scalable and distributive system
• Strong hands-on experience in database design, .NET, C/C++/C#, SQL, AJAX, and testing tools and methodologies
• Solid problem solving, design, troubleshooting, debugging and leadership skill.
• Highly driven team player and result oriented with outstanding communication, collaboration, and decision-making ability
• A BA/BS degree or above in Computer Science or a related technical field
  International travel is expected, with frequency based on business need.
