The Common Language Runtime (CLR) is looking for testers who thrive on being a part of extremely technical teams working on high velocity releases.  The CLR is aggressively working on a new web focused .Net sku.  This sku includes a slimmed CLR engine and managed surface area.  The breadth of product changes and technical constraints present unique testing challenges.  Contact us to become a member of the CLR Testing Team and drive the quality of this exciting release.  Examples of challenges include testing the Core CLR binaries slimmed down to a “web downloadable” size, testing the CLR SxS in-process with previous versions of the CLR, Intel MAC port of the runtime, new web focused .Net Security model, defining/restricting the CLRs interactions with all global machine resources, and many more.

Primary responsibilities include working with Dev/PM peers in feature crews writing test specifications and tests.  Members of this team will own testing cross feature scenarios and Mac.  This position has many opportunities for career growth, and opportunities for changing the testing processes of the CLR.

Qualified candidates must have a good proficiency of C/C++ (including language concepts like multi-threading, EH, OO design, writing cross platform portable code, Win32, CoreFoundations libraries) along with an understanding of managed code, including a working knowledge of C#.   Knowledge of the inner workings of the CLR (including GC, JIT, Threading, EH sub systems), Mac and/or Unix are a benefit, but not required.  A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred.
