职位描述/要求:

Position Description:

Take on the competition and the opportunity to lead a dynamic group of Program Managers and Engineers responsible for the operation of Microsoft’s Greater China  suite of services. Influence operational procedures and design decisions, lead/grow a high performance team, work with your teams to orchestrate complex systems implementations, increase efficiencies, and enable the evolution of large scale management technologies, performance management and availability of these key MSN and Live services.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Enhance, lead, and manage a team responsible for the 24x7 operations of these key Microsoft services.
  • Provide direction to improve, analyze, and optimise day-to-day live-site operations in a large automated infrastructure of Windows servers.
  • Develop predictable business practices, implement IT management (ITIL) principles and create metrics for determining success and progress.
  • Manage team resources effectively by prioritizing projects and work items in order to address global and regional commitments appropriately.
  • Communicate and sustain a team vision that aligns with overall business strategy of the operations team and the live, search and shopping efforts.
  • Work with peers to develop and drive strategic goals for the organisation and the plans for the implementation of those goals.
  • Coach direct reports in their daily work, working closely with them to help focus the team’s efforts in achieving their organisational and respective personal development commitments including growing direct reports who are managers.
  • Effectively apply influencing strategies and negotiation skills to impact decisions both within your own team and across external groups.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication models/strategies that enhance cross group partnerships and allow for greater efficiency and performance
  • Successfully drive operational product improvements upstream into development efforts.  Partner with product teams to achieve the successful implementation of service improvements.
  • Participate in the budget planning process and actively manage the budgets so as to achieve organisational fiscal goals.
  • Work with global/regional operations and product group peers to ensure high quality end-user experience in region. This includes establishing cross region roles and responsibilities and processes.

Qualifications:

  • BS in CS or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of operations experience managing large scale operations infrastructures.
  • Good understanding of core Microsoft technologies and competor UNIX systems
  • Strong project management and technical expertise/acumen to lead a diverse cross discipline team of engineers and program managers.
  • Proven/successful team leader, coach, mentor (Previous manager of managers experience).
  • Large scale IT/Internet Operations experience
  • Experience with systems automation concepts
  • Superior skills with oral and written communication, negotiations and conflict management.
  • Software development and systems administration experiences are a strong plus.
