We are looking for a motivated hardware development program manager to join our Xbox/Zune Accessories team in Shenzhen, China. This position offers the opportunity to apply leadership and project management skills to the development of cutting edge, high volume, products. Primary responsibilities include managing a hardware development team with diverse disciplines from engineering to product planning/marketing and bring a product from concept into mass production.

The dev PM would own overall program responsibility. The specific tasks include resource planning, program status reviews, project budget management, risk definition and risk management, schedule development, contract writing, negotiating contractual terms. In addition, this position requires managing and coaching the vendor employees in the local PM team and making sure the programs that they are working on can be successfully delivered.

As a candidate for this job, you will ideally have a very strong background in development program management. Technical strengths must include knowledge of hardware development, product test and qualification; excellent technical and analytical skills; strong written and verbal communication skills. Also, program management strengths must include the ability to direct the work of cross-group teams in our company and outside partners to meet overall program objectives

Qualification:

• 6+ years of program management experience, have a proven track record of delivering high volume hardware projects.
• Excellent people skills, strong written/oral communication skills.
• Must be self motivated and results driven,
• Strong customer focus and able to achieve success in a dynamic/fast pace environment;
• Experience required with MS Project Schedule, a bug tracking system such as Product Studio, and all MS Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Domestic and international travel is required
