Windows Live China (WLC) is building a world class engineering teams in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen. The team will partner closely with teams in Redmond while having the full responsibility and ownership for building Windows Live products and services.

The Windows Live Mobile team provides wireless device access to popular Windows Live Services such as Windows Live Mail (aka Hotmail) and Windows Live Messenger (MSN IM). We also provide the wireless operator connectivity and mobile service expertise to many other groups within Microsoft as they look to extend their product reach into the mobile market. In many markets around the world our WL PC services cannot win the market without strong mobile integration. The Windows Live Mobile China team in Shenzhen is a close partner of the Redmond Windows Live Mobile product group with a mission of delivering key features in the global mobile product. We build rich clients running on multiple handset platforms as well as SMS, MMS & WAP services and platform components.

We are looking for individuals who can help capture the mobile innovation that is happening in China and apply it both to products being deployed locally as well as globally. Role:

The WLMC MDS (Message Delivery System) Team build the important part of mobile platform. As a SDE on this team your responsibilities will include:
o Participating in all stage of the soft ware life development life cycle.
o We are looking for experienced SDE to design and develop next generation application platform and services for mobile services
o This roles focuses on .Net development field such as C++, C#, Web Service, ADO.Net, T-SQL, SOAP, XML, TCP/IP

Responsibilities:

These are some of the responsibilities you may be asked to own as a SDE on our Shenzhen Team:
·A Actively participate in the feature design with the feature team
·Detail design and fully implement robust features in an iterative manner in coordination with the team and using global development standards and tools.
·Conduct unit tests for all owned features

Education and Qualifications:

·A BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related degree required.

Experience Level:

·Minimum 2-3 years of experience in .Net Framework development.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

·Database expertise (T-SQL, writing stored procedures, designing schemas)
·Industry experience with Wireless applications and networks is a strong plus.
·The ability to work in a self-directed manner and have a strong drive for results.
·Technical experience should include proven expertise with C#, .Net, ADO.Net, TCP/IP networking and multi-threaded software development on the Windows platform.
·The ability to design, implement and debug scalable, robust, high performance applications/services.
·A strong customer focus and the ability to work effectively while dealing with ambiguity. We need someone that is prepared to work with a wide range of technologies and can take on leadership roles when required.
·Very strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with complexity in a fast-paced environment.
·Outstanding written and oral communication skills, strong oral and written English is a priority with the ability to communicate orally in Mandarin highly desirable.
