The mobile team at MSN China R&D group has been looking for a Program Manager as a driving force to provide the most challenging and exciting areas at mobile and instant messenger services. The mobile team will have the full responsibility and ownership for building mobile products and services in China . The team may also partner with teams at Microsoft/MSN to provide wireless device access to popular Windows Live Services such as Windows Live Mail (aka Hotmail) and Windows Live Messenger (MSN IM). We will build rich clients running on multiple handset platforms as well as SMS, MMS & WAP services and platform components. We also provide the wireless operator connectivity and mobile service expertise to many other groups within Microsoft/MSN as they look to extend their product reach into the mobile market. We are tasked with developing rich data services that can resonate with over a half billion mobile users in China and we are looking for top talent to make this happen.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to: work with biz team to understand market requirements; manage and guide the mobile team in planning, design, and project management; write feature/functional specifications; track project schedule and risk, etc; technically engage with local partners, review plan, spec, and implementation of outsourced projects.

Qualifications:

• 5+ experience of commercial software product development.
• 3+ years of experience of software project management
• Proven skills for designing mobile based software products
• Experience with Symbian, J2ME platform or other embedded systems is a big plus.
• Strong leadership in the past working experience.
• A BA/MS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Experience on cross group collaboration, communication
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
