Department Description  

System and Application Engineering Team (Asia Pacific Consumer & Industrial GTM Organization) This position is part of the C&I GTM organization in the Asia Pacific and will support the development of applications for inertial sensor in handheld and cellular products. It reports to the Engineering Manager of Asia-Pacific C&I GTM Organization.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations  

- Develop driver and unit test program for inertial sensor

- Design and develop application program to apply inertial sensor technology in handheld and cellular products

- Interface with The Consumer & Industrial Sensor and Actuator team on continual development, integration and release verification activities.

- Conduct evaluation and acceptance test for in-house and 3rd party solutions

- Support customer integration, including on-site visits, for inertial sensor related disciplines

- Act as prime technical contact for all technical aspects both hardware and software engagement

- Give technical training to customers supporting the sales organization

- Support Sales/Marketing organization business goals providing best-in-class technical support across the region

- Write basic, Quick Reference, application notes, and fully create and support Hands-on Technical Trainings

Specific Knowledge/Skills  

- Master degree in EE Engineering or Computer Science. Minor in Physics will be a plus

- 4-8 years of experience in cellular and handheld solution development
-  Working knowledge of embedded system product design and strong hardware/software debug skills are required
- Software (MCU or DSP): C/c++ is required, Assembly is desired. System-level thinking and problem solving skills are required.
- Experienced in major cellular IC Chipsets platform solution development.
-  Familiar with any of the following processors architecture: PowerPC, 68K/ColdFire, XScale, and ARM
 - Experienced of low level driver development in Linux, WinCE and Nuclues OS
-  Knowledge in UI development in Linux, WinCE and Nuclues OS
- Cooperation and interaction with many different disciplines and customer is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good teamwork adaptability, self motivated, good oral and written English & Chinese (Mandarin) skills.
