Desired Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,

Technical Skills and Knowledge:
Experience executing formal risk analysis methodologies.
Understanding of common networking protocols and services and their relevant security issues (TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, DNS, SNMP, etc.)
Understanding of the data flow within a computing infrastructure and the ability to identify the necessary and complete set of data related to a threat and vulnerability management solution.
Experience with Operating Systems (UNIX and/or Windows) especially with regard to their secure implementation, operation and maintenance.

Specific Role Duties:
- Malware (Virus/Worm) respond to virus and worm incidents, investigate and work with Symantec for inclusion in definitions files.
 - Connectivity Requests – work with requestor to determine needed connectivity, create connectivity request and present for approval.  Work with GI for implementation of the new policy.
- Rogue Internet/other connections – Be aware and discover these connections.  Work through Connectivity process so they follow policy. 
- Vulnerability Scanning – Schedule vulnerability scans on assets, from the scan results, work with the various Business Units to bring the assets into compliance.
- Participate in projects by developing appropriate application security architecture during project proposal and design phases  including security risk analysis, design and implementation of controls, and vulnerability assessment.  
- Design and execute proof of concept demonstrations for major security implementations. 
 -Provide engineering, implementation, and support of major security infrastructure components.
